nearly unviewable, due to the large amount of dust and silt once covering its
old glass, is this just discoveredlate 19th century American antique color
pastel sporting landscape of a colorful pheasant game bird in a dry, grassy
autumn field. The sky is variegated, with fair weather clouds and a broken
pastel blue sky. The malepheasant has a brightly colored, identifying hood and
long, striped tail and burnt sienna and yellow ochre body, with charcoal black
curved linear spots and white accent coloring. The pheasant appears to be
cautiously stepping among the dry autumnal grasses of an open field, displaying
real, palpable trepidation at the specter of a predator or hunters seeking his
whereabouts. His tail's propped up skyward, signaling he's been alerted and
cautiously scans his surroundings. Thislate 19th century American antique
